The Artisans Studio Christmas Fayre will be held at Julie’s studio in Arnold, Nottingham on Saturday November 19th and Sunday November 20th 2011 – 10.00am until 4.00pm.

It’s that time of year again, I’m not sure where the time goes!! With the cold weather setting in, why not come and enjoy warming glasses of festive mulled wine and homemade mince pies with us and get into the Christmas spirit.

At the Christmas Fayre weekend, we’ll be offering a  10% discount off everything*. Everything will be beautifully gift wrapped – ready for you to give that special present!

We have some exciting new ranges; Iron works from Belltree Forge, handmade in Scotland. Hand thrown Raku pots by Ian Tomii of Ashbourne. Lily Mosaics hearts and birds, locally made in Nottingham.

Together with new ranges from Fizgig Glass, the Old Bag Company, Earth Squared, Kate Hamilton Hunter, and lots of new season scarves, bags, jewellery and gifts to suit all pockets.

With the shirts we firstly make a foam board template to wrap the shirt around using dress makers pins, no glues or tapes are ever used, so the shirt can be removed without any damage.

We frame them using a very deep frame with  a matching spacer that keeps the glass away from the shirt, this gives that contemporary box frame look.

Both the mount and backing boards used  are to our usual acid free specifications.

To finish off  an inscription and complementing photographs can be added to make the item even more personal to the recipient.

It was great fun, and a bit manic!! Everyone seemed to enjoy themselves!

The cakes went down a storm especially my dads coconut pyramids and my raspberry cupcakes!! But most did not know that the blueberry muffins where blueberry muffins, i will put a label on them next time!!

This is my 10th year anniversary as The Artisans Studio & as part of the evening, I will be giving away a limited edition print called ‘Lovebirds’ to a lucky winner of the draw. Just come to my evening, collect a raffle ticket when you arrive and the draw will be held at 8.30pm. Lovebirds* is worth £30.00, so is a lovely gift for any occasion!

The artwork was mixed media, acylics and silver leaf and the print run is a limited edition of 195. The Lovebirds print I am giving away is number 7 of 195. It’s mounted onto acid-free card approximately 350mm x 270mm.

Please note, you can only enter the draw by attending the Ladies Night at the Artisans Studio on June 29th 2011. Should you wish to leave before the draw takes place, please write your name and a contact (either address or telephone) for us to inform you. The Print must be collected either on the night by the lucky winner or within a week of the draw taking place. Ladies only to attend Ladies Night please!!

*Lovebirds mounted print (unframed) is currently sold for £30 in my Studio.

I have just completed two new paintings and the limited edition prints are for sale in my studio. The paintings are mixed media – acrylics, oils, watercolours, textiles & gold/silver leaf. The print run is a limited edition size of 195 and are Giclée Prints on 315 gram watercolour paper with archival inks. The A2 prints are double mounted & the A3/A4 are single mounted, all acid-free.
